As project owner, Femern A/S is the company responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Femern A/S is a subsidiary company of the state-owned Sund & Bælt Group, who also is responsible for the Oresund Link and the Great Belt Link.

The position

You will, alongside with the Contract Management Teams, be responsible for the budget and cost control of Femern A/S Design & Build contractors involving all civil and installation works related contracts. You will primarily be working in the Tunnel Dredging and Reclamation Department’s Project & Contract Management Team, where you will have a close interaction with other company units as the Project Finance Manager and other Budget & Cost Controllers in the Technical Division as well as the Finance Department.

Your key tasks will be:

• Execute daily budget and cost control activities
• Preparation of budgets, budget follow-up and allocations
• Financial interface with contractors
• Prepare and analyse forecasts, cost trend reports and monitoring cost and commitment to budget and forecast
• Contribute to Reporting
• Provide ad-hoc analyses on cost
• Review statements and invoices from contractors and secure correct VAT handling
• Review and contribute to agreements entered with contractors to secure compliance with financial requirements

Your profile

You should ideally have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent education. Experience from similar complex projects is preferable.

The ideal candidate will have the following key competencies & qualifications:

• Background within cost controlling in the Construction industry
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Eager to learn and a desire to work to achieve the best results
• Communicate financial items on both detailed and high level
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active with good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as an integrated part of a team 
• Advanced excel skills and good system understanding

It is essential that you are well formulated in writing and orally, as good communication skills in English will be essential.
