Typical Task & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and coordinate BI solutions end-to-end in close cooperation with customers
• Technical advisor regarding best practices within data modelling, data architecture and BI solutions. Both on customer solutions as well as internal sparring partner
• Subject Matter Expert on all technical aspects related to BI reporting solutions to PwC customers and Trainer for younger BI talents in the Management Intelligence team
• Translate business process’ and complex functional requirements into transparent and well-structured data models. Where possible based on One Truth best practices
• Quality assurance of underlying Data models applied in our client based front end reporting solutions. To a large extent PowerBI reports and dash boards
• Develop Proof of Concept on various Data model & Reporting solutions
• Build framework for Best fit generic Data models to support management reporting for different client industries and sizes

Professional qualifications:

• The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within IT, Finance, Supply chain or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a BI developer. Ideally with an architectural mindset
• Experience from multiple industries is an advantage, preferably consumer driven with a P&L focus – maybe you have worked as an external BI consultant
• Experience of Best In Class BI architecture and data modelling. It is important to have a holistic view and approach on data solutions to support best possible reporting solutions
• Experience with technical design and implementation of One truth data models to support Best In Class Performance Management reporting solutions
• You work very structured with data and have a critical eye for details and validation of numbers as well as an understanding and alignment to good Data Governance
• Experience with FP&A, Performance Management and Sales and Financial reporting is an advantage
• Good analytical and numeracy skills combined with business acumen
• Good communication and documentation skills (English is required)

Systems:

• Developer experience with the Microsoft SQL databases and BI suite is a plus, alternatively experience with other BI systems and Data Warehouse – i.e. SAP or Oracle
• Thorough knowledge and expertise on Data integration. For example, Sales and Finance data sources enabling unified reporting. Experience with Alteryx or similar tool is an advantage
• Developer experience with MS PowerBI and related applications or other frontend tools is an advantage
• Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and tabular modelling is an advantage
• Knowledge of ERP systems & Planning applications will be expected
