As member of the Zetes GoodsID Business Consulting team, you are responsible for supporting the sales and business development efforts, acting as a Supply Chain trusted advisor for specific Zetes Solutions.

The Business Consultant is a customer-focused professional who provides detailed support and guidance to customer opportunities and prospects. The Business Consultant collaborates with the sales team, partners and customers and is looked to as an expert in her/his field. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with direct sales on large and complex accounts in order to establish requirements, educate prospective customers.

The role includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, consulting & follow up on all customer related issues. The Consulting Unit is an international traversal team that needs to support locally the solutions sales cycle but also the major international solution opportunities.

The responsibilities of the business consultant are:

  • Supporting the different solutions sales cycles and acting as a “Trusted advisor” delivering consulting expertise
  • Specialising in communicating product features and corresponding benefits as well as application of the product to a specific market and / or account
  • Work closely with customers during the sales cycle in order to fit our solutions into the major issues of our potential customers or prospects, ensuring customer’s technical expectations meet the product’s capability
  • Assist customers with planning, engineering and drafting technical requirements
  • Preparing, coordinating and conducting successful presentations and demos
  • Writing the scope of work for demos and field trials
  • Reviewing and providing content and polish to RFx proposal responses
  • Providing the technical & functional section in RFP/RFQs
  • Ensuring responses include network diagram applications, technical & functional benefit statements, and overall technical & functional accuracy
  • Providing business information about the solutions (post sales consultancy)
  • Collecting and building competitive analysis and product comparison feedback
  • Providing feedback on market trends, customer requirements and market intelligence to the products managers and management
  • Ensuring proper reporting to the manager: weekly reports, detailed trip reports etc
  • Travel to meet customers mainly in your country but also potential major opportunities outside of your country to present and explain solution capabilities
  • Collaborate with Product Management to give input to define product roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to give input to support the execution of marketing campaigns and the creation of sales and marketing tools
  • Initial support to Program and Project management
  • Give input on internal organizational enhancements

Experience:

The Business Consultant must have the following experience:

  • At least three years of working experience
  • Experience in solution sales or consultant role with preference in the Supply Chain sector
  • Familiar with ICT technical solutions and willing to invest in understanding of new integration technologies
  • Ability to write well structured and articulated proposals
  • Able to understand various company cultures and adapt to them
  • Flexible and willing to travel for short periods at short notice in Europe
  • Exceptional English language written and oral communication skills

The major strong points required to the Business Consultant role are:

  • Process know-how and experience on specific markets (Manufacturing, Warehouse, Transportation or Retail depending on the solutions that the BC is going to address)
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English
  • Strong client orientation, able to provide appropriate solutions and services
  • Comfortable being part of a team and working with several stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Proven cross-cultural communication, able to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
  • Team player who is willing to share
  • Help the business meet and exceed its sales targets
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and like standing in front of a customer
